Practical guide
The Prepared Heart Hospitality Guide
Hospitality is making room, not making an impression. This guide helps you prepare your home and heart to welcome people with warmth and ease.
Prepare your heart first
Pray for each guest by name the week before.
- Write their names.
- Ask God how to love each one well.
Keep it simple
Choose one dish you love to make and let others bring the rest.
- Set the table the night before.
- Light a candle when guests arrive.
Make room for the overlooked
Invite one person who may otherwise be alone.
Questions for the table
Use one or two to turn conversation toward gratitude.
- What surprised you with joy this year?
- Who helped you through a hard season?
- Where did you see God at work?
Remember Romans 12:13—hospitality is love for the stranger, offered in Christ’s name.
