Thanksgiving Table Blessings

Print these and place one at each setting, or choose one to read before the meal.

Blessings from Scripture

Read one aloud together.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” — Psalm 136:1 (ESV)
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17 (ESV)
“The Lord bless you and keep you.” — Numbers 6:24 (ESV)

A simple table prayer

Lord, You have prepared this table and gathered us here. Thank You for the hands that made this meal and the love that fills this room. Make us grateful, and make us generous. Amen.

For the empty chair

A gentle prayer for those who are missed.

Lord, we remember those who are not with us. Hold them, and hold us, in Your love.

Keep a card in your Bible as a reminder that every table can become a place of welcome.
