Gathering In What God Grew

Paul's harvest language is agricultural and patient. A seed does not become bread in a week. It goes into the dark, sits, splits, and only then rises.
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” The condition is not perfection. It is persistence.
Due season is God's calendar, not ours. Most quitting happens in the gap between the planting and the proof.
Look back over the year. Some of what you planted in faith is quietly ready to be gathered in.
Reflect
- What did you sow this year that you have not yet gathered?
- Where are you close to giving up right before the due season?
- Who could you do good to this week, in a way that costs you something small?
Pray
God, give me endurance for the waiting and eyes to see the harvest You are already bringing. Amen.
