Galatians 6:7-10

Harvest of the Heart

4 pages · Printable PDF

“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. … And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:7-10

Harvest is not a reward for hurrying. It is what happens when something planted in faith is finally allowed to finish. Before September fills up, take an hour with this worksheet and look honestly at your year: what you planted, what grew, what did not, and what God is quietly bringing in right now.

1 · Read slowly

Read Galatians 6:7-10 three times. The first time for the story, the second with a pen, the third out loud. Then answer:

  • Which single phrase stayed with you after the third reading?

  • Underline every word about time (“due season,” “while we have opportunity”). What is Paul saying about God's timing?

  • Who is Paul writing to, and what were they tempted to do?

2 · Name the seed

Look back over the last twelve months. Fill in each row honestly — no editing for how it sounds.

  • One thing I planted in my faith this year:

  • One thing I planted in a relationship:

  • One thing I planted in my work or calling:

  • One thing I planted that I now regret:

  • One thing I meant to plant and never did:

3 · Sort the soil

Not every seed lands in the same ground. Beside each seed above, write the soil it fell into: rushed, protected, neglected, watered, or shared.

  • Which seed got the most attention, and why that one?

  • Which seed got the least, and what was competing for it?

  • What does the soil pattern tell you about where your care actually goes?

4 · Count the harvest

Harvest is often smaller and quieter than we expected — a changed reaction, a habit that held, a person who stayed. Write down five.

  • Five things God grew this year, however small:

  • Which of them did you not work for at all?

  • Which one are you most tempted to overlook?

5 · Do not grow weary

Paul's condition for reaping is simply not giving up. Name the place where you are closest to quitting.

  • Where am I weary of doing good?

  • What would “not giving up” look like this week — in one specific, small action?

  • Write a one-sentence commitment for September and date it:

Close by praying back one line of the passage in your own words. Keep this page in your Bible and revisit it on the last day of the month.
